Our Vision

Work towards conserving the future of our
planet by initiating and supporting projects
that heal our environment.

Our Mission

To raise funds for our environmental initiatives like Water conservation, Community Sanitation & Hygiene projects from 500+ corporates by 2025.

To spread awareness amongst the marginalized communities about Sanitation & Hygiene; while also empowering women in the process, bringing gender equality.

To promote the use of eco-friendly products & support their R&D for the future.

Our Projects

8000+ students can have access to toilets at schools in Gujrat

In collaboration with BAIF Institute, we are working to install 118 twin bio-toilets at 60 schools in Gujrat. So far, the result is a significant reduction in absenteeism and dropouts from schools caused due to inadequate sanitation, and also reducing the risk of infectious diseases. The bio-toilet is attached to bio-digester plants for efficient sewage management. The RCC modular super-structure, PUF doors, and the borewell connection ensure the long-life functioning of the bio-toilets.
Change in progress

25/118 twin bio-toilets completed

Up to 3hrs of Eco-friendly cooking using Biogas

300kgs of organic waste is recycled in our 15m3 biogas plant to generate enough gas for cooking everyday meals in the kitchen. The plant is surface mounted, low-maintenance, highly efficient to produce odorless bio-gas. The Pressure Releaser & Rodent Resistance Membrane ensures safety & hygiene around the plant. We are in talks to install 5 more such plants in the near future.

In line with our Government Initiatives

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan 2025
(Clean India Mission)

The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' is a country-wide campaign initiated by the Government of India in 2014 to eliminate open defecation and improve solid waste management. More than 160 million household toilets have been built in the rural areas under this mission.

Jal Jeevan Mission

Jal Jeevan Mission is envisioned to provide safe and adequate drinking water to every house in rural India by 2024. The program will also implement measures for sustainable sourcing, also promoting recharge and reuse through greywater management, water conservation, and rainwater harvesting.

Our Values

Being Socially Responsible

Our Foundations’ core value is based on the premise of ‘Creating Shared Value’. Being socially responsible for us means that – our decisions affect everyone and hence our initiatives are concerned only about the welfare of our planet. Our community toilets with borewells across homes, schools, worksites, and public places – let us play our part of acting responsibly.

Improving Community’s
Well-being

In collaboration with Banka Bio, we have initiated projects across 21 states in India and are focused on serving more people in other countries. We love the smile on their faces when they feel cared for. We believe well-being shouldn’t add a burden to their lives, hence we implement simple, sustainable, low-maintenance, and cost-effective solutions. We are driven to create a safe and hygienic surrounding for everyone right now and also for the arriving souls. We also love to collaborate with other NGOs to foster positive change. BEF works beyond borders to achieve its environmental goals.

We are Accountable

BEF operates as a not-for-profit organization and embraces a culture of integrity. All funds are raised with utmost transparency and accountability. In case of any surplus, they are earmarked to be utilized solely towards our mission. Also to safeguard against fraud and other vulnerabilities – technology is brought in the process to enhance controls, streamline workflows, and also to mitigate risks. Your trust is what we strive for in all our efforts.

The greatest threat to the planet is our
belief that someone else will save it
